Prof. Dr. Hasan Feyzi Batur

He was born in 1942, in Kayseri, Bünyan. He was raised in an academic family, with a Mudarris (Professor) grandfather in Fatih Madrasah and a lecturer father. He completed his primary, secondary and high school education in Kayseri High School. He studied in ISTANBUL UNIVERSITY, FACULTY OF MEDICINE between 1960 and 1964. Then he made lateral transferred to ISTANBUL UNIVERSITY, FACULTY OF DENTISTRY and completed his undergraduate education there between 1964 and 1966. He completed his military service between 1966 and 1968. Her served as “Lecturer” in Istanbul University, Faculty of Dentistry from the beginning of 1969 until his retirement in 2009.

He has been carrying on his dentistry works in his clinic in Nişantaşı for 45 years since 1970. Prof. Dr. Feyzi Batur married Dentist Sergül Batur in 1972. They have a son and a daughter. His son serves in Istanbul University Faculty, of Dentistry. His daughter Burcu Batur has graduated from Koç Üniversity Faculty, of Business Management, did Master of International Management in England, and is currently in charge of corporate communication of BTR Clinic.

Academic Career

• In 1973, he completed his doctorate study and received the title “DOCTOR MED.DENT”.
• In 1979, he received the title “ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR”.
• In 1988, he was appointed to “PROFESSORSHIP”.
• In the subsequent years, he served as the “Head of Istanbul University, Faculty of Dentistry, Department of Therapy”.
• In the subsequent years, he served as the “Head of Istanbul University, Faculty of Dentistry, Department of Therapy”.
• He also served as Dean of the Faculty for a while.
• In 2009, he retired from Istanbul University.
• He has been carrying on medical practice in his 45-year clinic in Nişantaşı actively since 2009.

Scientific Studies

• In his doctoral study, he conducted scientific studies on “Changes occurring in mouth during pregnancy”.
• In his associate professorship, he conducted studies on “Pulp Diseases”.
• Later, he conducted numerous researches in every field of Dentistry.
• He supervised scientific studies and doctoral studies of many research assistants since 1979. Now those assistants are carrying on their academic lives as Professors in various universities.
• He conducted various investigations on Dental Implants since 1984.
• Currently, he frequently applies surgical interventions regarding Implants, e.g. several Implant Operations and Sinus Lifting, etc., in his Dental Clinic on Nişantaşı Teşvikiye Street.

Conferences and Congresses

Prof. Dr. Feyzi Batur has attended in numerous national and international congresses, given lectures and chaired congresses throughout his academic life.
